basically i have a shell thats loged as a 2.0.. and i fancy using it but theres no engine in it.. cant/dont want to afford to put a 2.0 back into it as id have to get all the conversion parts again and then cant/dont want to afford to insure it as a 2.0 to

but have a 1.6 and insurance isnt bad at all

could it be as simple as ust sending the log book off or are they going to need proof etc?

Sell the shell to one of the thousand XE converted Corsa owners who still haven't transferred their details yet.

Do a swap with one of those

just insure it as a 2litre,so ur not illegal and also so you dont get rapped by the cops

was just wondering if it was any diffrent becuse your going down an engine not up.. if you get me? as they mite thin im doing it to get cheaper insurance or somthing

you might need an engineers report if you are going down

you would also be paying less tax, thats what their arsed aout

Just change it over and see what happens, they might not even ask for proof.
Tax is the same these days anyway.

yea its 1.6...so its the same insurance as a 2litre

get in touch with the DVLA and see what they want to swap it back.
