basically, my car got written off, i got a hire vehicle, and the hire vehicle's rear windscreen and side window got vandalised, smashed basically and they had to be renewed. Now the vehicle hire company are trying to charge me just over £350 quid for the damages? surely this should be included in my insurance or the 3rd parties insurance as it was the 3rd parties fault for my car being written off, therefor their insurance company paid for my hire car? anyone help?

I believe this is in your insurance if you have courtesy car cover (which you seem to have)

Your hire car will be covered by either your own policy or the hire companies policy. If it's the hire company your excess will be around the £500 mark. Check the credit/rental agreement you signed when you collected the car everything will be detailed there
