split with the mrs and mates are all away on a boys holiday so i've been powering the gym every day since thursday, I dont usually do weights, just cardio but ive been hitting the weights everyday but today my arms are sore as if my muscles are torn slightly? if I press them or tense them they hurt. should I stay away from the weights today or will I be ok to do a bit?

I've always been told you should leave it a day as that's how they build

I like to have either a myprotein recovery xs or hurricane xs after weights
No idea if it does anything but it's meant to be good

I use a 90% protein drink and hour before (i forget the name) and then another straight after.

Only been in a fixed routine for about 2 months, first few weeks the off days killed, now its just a sore ache.

Probably going to move over to cyclone when I run out and get a second recovery supplement as joe suggested.

I'd reccomend the myprotein stuff Mike. Let me know if you want to order anything and I'll send you a referrer code for 5% off

you are seriously over training, the general idea is to work each individual body part once a week or at most twice.

hitting your bi, shoulders and tri every day is pointless.

you should look into getting a proper plan if your going to get any were.

and you need to work everything especially legs.

cardio is fine if your trying to lose weight if your skinny to begin with and want to pack on muscle dont do it.

and have a read up on the principles of gym structure

I'd be buying this http://www.amazon.com/Starting-Strength-2nd-Mark-Rippetoe/dp/0976805421/ref=dp_ob_title_bk

And sticking with it for 3 months.

Like kakarot said, split each body group up into diff days. Mine is something like this :

Monday: Shoulders and Tris
Tuesday: Back
Thursday: Chest and Bis
Friday: Legs
