my coilovers are making a funny noise when i turn the spring is turning slower than the shock and kinda like pinging round
any ideas?

i had the same sort of noise on the focus when i put eibachs on.

didn't make any difference to the ride/handling, just sounded strange.

i blame warren

wd40 seemed to get rid of it for a while.

either top mount bearing problems or they aren't fitted properly on the top spring plate

With some commas I now know what you mean, still as the spring sits on the damper and gets bolted down by the top mount, a reasonable explanation could be the top mount isn't tight enough.

i had the same problem after fitting suspension, you notice it when parking mostly

i took my suspension off and changed top mounts, there was two types for my car. (not a corsa)

it was where the bearing in the rubber mount wasn't touching spring plate properly so the spring was being turned slightly

i also added lots of copper grease stuff when i put it together again
