well took the old Alvis to her first car show at the Hebden bridge vintage weekend on sunday.

it didn't win anything (to be expected as its used everyday) but we had a great day and there was a lot of interested people stopped by for a chat about the old girl.

photos.....

Amazing mate. Did you have any photos of the build there? When you see it in context it's all the more impressive.

Fuck me sideways, that's some transformation. Top work. I wish I had the motivation to do that, I would love to do a full nut/bolt rebuild on my R5 turbo but I know it would just be a mint shell sat in a garage for years.

How old are you if you don't mind me asking, just that it's a bit 'old man' if you get me?

I'm 34 but if you saw my grey hair (which seems worse since restoring this car) or spoke to my wife, then you'd think I was sixty
I am a bit of an 'old man' inside

As I say, I wish I had the motivation.

It's not my cup of tea but you can't help but respect the work that has gone into it.

I've so much respect for what you've achieved with it, especially given the constraints of where you had to do most of the work. Just think what you could do with a whole workshop at your disposal!

Such a difference from the late 20's stuff to the 30's my mate has 2 Alvis' from 1926 and 1928!

Such a stunning transformation an something to be proud of!

Be worth a bob or two now also?!
