Its not time for mine yet but i just wondered how people get round it, im sure i read somewhere that i can tell the MOT tester that it has an engine from a pre cat car but this bloke at work reckons it goes on the year of the car? Anybody know? The MOT place is pretty laid back anyway

Year of engine if you can prove the age of the engine. But if they are laid back i bet they will put it through as a pre-cat age anyway.
