Just got a 1989 mini mayfair
The guy who had it put a cd player and a couple of speakers but they dont work....


The CD goes in and out when i put one in it but nothing comes up on the screen so it seems like theres power getting to it?

Any Ideas?

Try retro rides to get hold of a proepr radio for the mini fair few people breaking classic minis.

true but it looks like he has went to alot of hassle to get the radio in there with the speakers its just annoying that a cd goes in and out but nothing else happens

Im no electrics expert but they have 2 power supplies to them dont they? 1 always live, 1 live with ignition? Looks like your ignition live isnt working or the fuse on it has gone?

checked the fuse thats fine i shall check the connections

Yeah I can put a cd in and take it out with the ignition off so I'd check your switch live.
