I was looking on autotrader at astra H's as i fancy getting one for my next car. Found a really nice 5 door red one, 2 litre turbo, 6 speed box and 1/2 leather.
Couple of questions though, does anyone know what engine will be in this? It says its a rare 170bhp model? Not got a clue about them so im insure. Also with it being a 6 speed box will this suffer from the same faults that the vxr 6 speed box's seem to have?
Sorry for all the questions, dont know nothing aout these astras, any help would be much appreciated

Drove one for a few weeks. Was pretty unexciting, diesel is better choice or even a 1.8..

the engine is the LEL, which is just a detuned LER, so a remap will bring it to 200 or more depending on the map
just buy a vxr (mine)

thanks for that mate, unfortunately the vxr is way out of my budget, vxr doesnt have 5 doors either so is no good
do you know if it will be the same gearbox thats in the vxr? m32 i think it is?
thats the only thing putting me of it as ive heard a lot of horror storys with people having problems with these boxes

it will be the same box, i wouldnt worry too much about something that might never happen, besides if its that big a worry leave some money aside incase it goes wrong or take out a warranty with someone like warranty direct
