As title, anyone done it? Possibly might be purchasing some german wheel-ness but unsure on the whole shipping and importing thing. Any dodgy extra money grabbing i should watch out for etc?

If i can remember 2 members off here did a Road trip for some wheels, think it was LukeD and jimmy2.1, they took photos along the way and did a write up, was a good read.

Importing from Germany is easy. Free trade between EU countries so you don't have to pay any taxes. All you will have to pay is the price of the wheels and shipping. Make sure you insure the wheels in carriage though as you won't have any come back with the carrier if they are lost or damaged otherwise.

You have no idea how tempting a road trip sounds
The wheels aren't that expensive as far as some wheels go, but pretty different as far as corsa's go i think. So seems like shipping would be an easy option considering all things. Just seeing if that will be a viable option, if not then i spose the only other option i have is to go for a road trip lol

Ah that's an easy stint off the ferry at Dunkirk. Take a long weekend, make a break of it.

Yeah seems like a pretty decent run from there. Bit apprehensive/unsure of the driving option though tbh, having only been driving slightly over a year and such y'know?

Mostly motorways though, you can't really go wrong unless you're an absolute muppet.
As in the UK, everything is geared up to feed you into the flow of traffic, you just don't really realise it's happening in your native land. If in doubt, hang back and see what the locals do
Take your old man or a mate with you who has more experience if you're worried.
