NEVER, EVER when doing any job think to your self "This is going well, Should have it done in no time!!!"
Just took the rear seats out of the Astra to put the new ones in when i pick them up (Also to give me a bit more room!) and as i got to the last bolt, Thought the above and rounded the head off a torx bolt
Which ended up making a simple half hour job turn into a 3 hour ball ache.
Also did it in work, Making a big window frame (4.5metres high x 2.5 metres wide) thought "this aint going too bad, will have it done for dinner" when the thing fell off the stands and ended up smashing a corner off it!
What a day!!!

The only problem with that would be the old seat would have still been in place!

Having said that, on topic, I shy completely away from any sort of job like this now, because it always goes wrong for me, and I end up breaking something else in anger, so have to fix that, but it goes wrong, rinse and repeat until blood pressure gets the better of me

I was hoping to be finished by 2 today, bloke I work with sliced his hand open from his thumb to down his wrist on a flue liner, I had just left to get some materials in his van so he was his own without a van i rushed him to hospital when I got back, he needed 11 stitches and 5 injections and ive only just got back from work he did buy me a couple of pints though.

Yep, learnt this a long time again. Never say "I should be done by .... as its a quick job"
The amount of times I've started a job at say 11pm at work and said "Oh, should be done by 2am, in bed by 3. Nice night" to be then stuck at work at 6am still tired and having problems.
I hate it even when the people I'm working with say it. Its a proper jinx

I always end up saying "How long is a peice of string" and put the phone down. Keeps them off you're back for a bit!

I have a bit of a thing about this sort of stuff. Sods law loves me so I consistently have to touch wood and say "touch wood" and make others do it if they say something that is a bit of a jinx. It properly freaks me out otherwise.
