Whilst cleaning my car yesterday i noticed it had some rust on the passenger side wing. Its just above the wheel arch and is about the size of a 50p coin.

Im going to be getting a new car at the end of next summer so my dillema is do i get the wing sorted or just leave it as its more money down the drain on an 11 year old car.

What would you do in this situation

personally i would deal with it the best way i can for the least amount of wonga, i.e if you can do it your self then do it, if not its a little less worth wile considering the new arrival soon. my opinion only though mate.

Depends what the cost limit is before it's too much. I got a quote for a dent removal and respray of rear quarter and it was £150.

DIY it, slightly off colour paint is better than rust.

i was thinking the same, go to your local scrappy or have a look on ebay, im sure you will find one with a colour match, unless you have a custom colour?

Definetly just get a 2nd wing. I picked up 2 wings for £20 from a breakers. Just hope you have a common colour!

They are easy to remove it's only a few bolts.

I'd sort it out or get a new wing. The rust will only get worse and its not a great selling point once you get your new car.
