You shouldn't be aiming at "too much" noise. You should aim for "just right".

It's subjective though, had I shot the image on HIE and processed it at about 28'c in a harsh developer, it would have had more noise still, yet this was how things were done, This image was about recreating that.

I wouldnt normally process images in this way, but without difference we'd never move forward

Theres a big difference between grain and digital noise. Within the right context a grainy analogue print can look stunning.

Yeah you couldnt be more right, silver halide and computer created noise couldnt be further apart, one exisits physically, one doesnt
