Realisticly i'd probably spend no more than £2000 on a corsa and for that i'd expect a fairly decent example as its still a 10+ year old corsa at the end of the day imo.

8 thou seems a lot Archie, had the head gasket gone? I took out 16 valves and 15 valve guides when my engine froze (pain in the arse) and took the head into work to get it skimmed - only took 1 thou to get it all even.

8 thou isnt a great deal though, iv took 15thou off my c16xe bt then again iv done it to bump compression up to 12:1 on my build.
Lad should only take enuf to clean face, dependr if head has any water way corrosion and wantd to clear it up abit.
