My 106 is currently sornd, I'm wanting to declare the new engine asap as it will go for its MOT in the next few weeks so is it just a matter of phoning up and notifying them or will I have to send off for a new form to declare it back on the road, what did you do?

Also how long have you had to wait to get it back with the new details?

bit of a noob on this subject, any help appreciated.

As simple as that? what are the chances of them asking for an engineers report?

I think there more likely to ask for a repot if the engine is going down in size as you could be evading tax and fiddling insurance. Doubt anyone would lie so they could pay more tax and insurance.

Providing there is no fuckups, a month, if there is a fuckup or two, expect it to be 6months.
