I've lived in Brum nearly all my life and I know I havent got a strong brummie accent but when I lived in Newcastle for a short period everyone I meet said it was really really strong! I think its the same anywhere really, as I said, when I lived up Newcastle most people had the normal geordie accent but I remember my mate taking me to a dodgy village pub and I could not understand a word from the locals!!!! lol

I've lost it since I've come to Uttoxeter, so when I go back to Brum people say I talk posh. , but say if iv'e been in Birmingham just for the weekend, I pick it up again.
