I'm still in shock tbh that the insurance just stumped up that kinda cash without a fight, 2.5k - 3k is max what they are worth privately and at 3k you'd have it a while. But fair play id take the 2.5k and run, £500 profit and a hassle free "sale"... Greedy much! lol
Might go smash mine up tbh, cba to advertise.

You still have to declare it though regardless of who pays for it.
Not really, if it doesn't go anywhere near your insurance you haven't made a claim at all.

When applying for insurance isnt there a question that is asked which goes something like.... "have you been involved in an accident regardless of blame in the last 5 years?"

It is something like that and I'm sure if you asked the insurance company they'd say but it down anyway, I can't see how they would find out about that though, you've really not put in a claim, ,you've been paid out by the 3rd party who made the claim.

so your saying not state your been in accident but the RS post if you sell a car that you have repaired then you should state that to a buyer
Honesty or dishonest seems to depend on the situation then
Bit of double standard here I would say

It's not being dishonest either, you wouldn't have made a claim to declare.
The fault or no fault question on insurance sites means that even if you didn't lose your ncb, you still claimed your own insurance.

no the question asks have you been involved in acident in the last 5 years reagrdless of fault
You stated that you could chose not to put that - hence being dishonest
However if stated that people should make buyers aware of any previous damage to a car otherwise they are pikey or being dishonest
i am merely pointing out that its double standards
Bla bla bla all you want.

Well that's a call you'd have to make, or find out 100% from the insurer.
I still didn't say that you should tell buyers of crashes.

If someone can tell me it's 100% wrong I'll change my stance.
If you've not went anywhere near your insurance though I don't see how it's wrong

Ultimately in a non fault claim it does not affect your NCD, nor does it affect your premium when you declare a non fault accident.
3 non fault claims for me says otherwise.
your premium's will go up as you are considered at greater risk of having another collision.

No sure. When someone rammed up the back of me my old corsa was written off as a cat c. Got 1200 back and they offered the car back for 50 quid and that damage was minimal but obv came to over 1200 hence the cat c. And that was all done over tye phone. Mind you i was driving around in it after the accident and after they sent someone out to assess the damage.
