Well what with the '97 Cally engine I'd hazard a guess around 360bhp. Or just any made up power figure to go with the made up engine year.

i thought the late engines had a GM Head and the early ones had coscast

you could still have a coscast head fitted though when it was rebuilt?

Yes but not with the Redtop engine.By that time it would have had an Ecotec.

maybe someone put a redtop into a 1997 calibra and he got it out of that? so what he's said is actually correct.

Well what would you immediately think reading that? Answer being that the engine is a '97, meaning that you're falsely led to believe that the engine's a good bit newer than it actually is. Fair enough if the seller doesn't know but it definetely needs changed or some poor bastard's going to think it's something special.
