Been asked by the boss to find a PC to run AutoCad, but I've not dealt much with this side of computers so not sure what to look for.
I'm assuming there are particular processor and graphics card types that deal with CAD better? We don't do much 3D cad modelling so doesn't need to be absolute top of the range.
Would a Dell Precision suffice? The £1399 one

But regarding the graphics cards, you want a workstation class not a gaming class for a proper job. Something from the nVidia Quadro range.

AutoCAD will run on fairly old hardware. We've got three machines in our office over 3 years old which (when they were bought) weren't really intended to be powerful.
Still run regular Autocad ok, so long as the number of hatches and stuff is kept down.
