Hello

I know this should be in the Help Zone, but I need some help pretty quick as my old brakes are totally fooked!

I thought the Calibra V6, Turbo and Omega V6 disks were the same so I ordered these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110462298431&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

284mm X 24mm

I assumed I could have used either Calibra Turbo, Calibra V6 or Omega V6 calipers with the above disks.

BUT, having a quick browse on ebay, the Omega V6 disks are 296mm X 28mm?!?!:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-Omega-2-5-V6-94-2000-FRONT-EBC-BRAKE-DISCS-/200496948643?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2eae8ca5a3

I idealy I want the biggest I can get and I want them drilled and grooved.

Can anyone shed some light over this, and wheither im looking at the correct bits

Thanks!

Mmm, im pretty confused myself

So no type of Omega V6 disks would fit?

It would have to be either Calibra V6 disks or turbo ones? With either Calibra turbo calipers, Calibra V6's calipers?

Could I use Omega V6 calipers with the disks I have bought?

Reading thorugh that again I think it makes sense

turbo calipers are slightly different. have smaller piston in so dont get as much of the internet hyped spongey pedal feel. v6 used 286mm discs turbo was 288

If possible, try and get turbo calipers.

The smaller piston makes a massive difference.Pedal travel dosnt exist unlike the V6 calipers.

v6 vectra disks are the biggest you can use at 288mm but need redrilling the omega dont fit or u can use astra gsi mk4 calipers with 308mm disks but 16" alloys are a min!

I managed to get a refund on the 284mm disks. I now have a set of 288mm which should be here shortly.

Just need to get the calipers and carriers now!

Im guessing Astra GSi calipers and disks are a little more expensive!
