What would warrant a category A write off?

Why can't you use any part from a cat A car?

serious question i want to know..

Its down to how badly damaged the car is, if its so badly damaged (Massive fatal accident or some serious fire damage etc.) that it should never ever ever ever go back on the road it gets CAT A'd. The Value of the vehicle can also affect this.. Some really valuable or limited edition vehicles will be CAT A'd because they are a very high risk of being 'ringed'.
