anyone around reading able to fit inlet manifold?
took it to a mechanic expecting it to be fine,
shocked when he returned to say cant be fitted as needed to cut wires
somtheing to do with something being on the wrong side (didnt rele follow)
i thought it was a bolt straight on (basically) fitment.

any help appreciated

Its piss easy to it.

No need to cut wires, only thing you need is a new inlet manifold gasket, inlet manifold joining gasket, and an x16xe/14xe inlet manifold and a pipe to join from the throttle bodie/air flow meter to the induction/air filter, vacumn pipe and some joiners.

Where abouts are you exactly?

im in wokingham mate if you know it? not far from farnborough at all.

yeah i have the gasket, pretty sure it was the pipe from the throttle body to air flow meter that he said was 'on the wrong side'

can you fit it mate?

(i did think it was sposed to be easy

depends on model year, some wire you need to extend, some reach

Have you got the plastic inlet manifold, or a metal one? It ain't that hard with a basic tool kit.

its 1999 V reg 1.6 16v corsa sport.

Kent is quite far away however..

Have you got the blanking plate for the old throttle body location? That might have been what the bloke was on about. Not that hard to fit though mate to be honest. Warrens guide in the tutorial section is very helpful

So yours is infact an x16xe.

little bit more work involved on them iirc.
I would love to help you out but not on an x16xe. If it was c16xe I would as mine was peice of piss.

Warrens guide and a Haynes manual and some braveness is all you need.
Thats what I used.

I would say x16xe is easier than c16xe. Dont have to take the lower inlet off which is a pain in the arse.
