i need a multi-gym to put in my garage so i can get some form of exercise routing going on.

this seems cheap, and for a starter gym should be fine.

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3356191.htm

does anyone have or know anyone with this one? or heard anything good/bad about it? reviews seem fine.

it will be bolted to the floor and don't matter how long it takes to assemble so no problems there.

any other suggestions up to about £250 are appreciated aswell. cheers.

i know if i get a gym membership i'll go once or twice then stop, and also i prefer to train on my own. get really self-concious with other people so i can't see myself pumping iron with other blokes in the place.

I found it fine to be honest. I thought that a little bit (before I went) but it's nothing with other people about. And you just need to be motivated to go.

i'd just prefer my own little multi-gym to start out on really, then i can do it whenever. already hard enough doing normal stuff whilst on 3 shift let alone sorting out going to the gym aswell

squat racks don't look like they'd save space compared to a multi gym.

Seriously do not waste your money on a multi gym.

They are not worth a wank!

£250 will buy u a decent bench and weight set. You will benefit far far much more from this than a multi gym

nout to do with saving space, its about getting the best possible equipment for the price

squat rack or power rack and dumb bell and bar bell with adustable weights will let you do more excersizes than a multigym will

and they will be far more effective overall

squats, deadlifts and bench are all major lifts that should be included in every routine this is just not possible with a multi gym

everything else can be added using dumbells and bar bells also.

This is the way to go multi gyms are shite, but even better than that would be a gym membership and a good training partner. I hate days i cant make it to the gym and do a few sets at home with the weights, have no motivation at all!

Ben I may sell my bench and weights as I'm looking into getting something else.

It's only basic stuff but if you're just getting into it it's spot on.

this is the bench I have and this is the weight set I've got.

I'm only down the road from you so give us a shout if you're interested
