UPDATE

So, 2 months later, I've ended up buying it after all

Offer today accepted for 81k, and the timing means the current owner will pay the next 6 months service charge before completion (which they cannot claim back).

Yay. Now the task of getting solicitors sorted (no idea where to start on that ) and mortgage company to tick the last few boxes on my application.

Apart from Castle road (debatable) and anywhere near Bedford Park/Kimbolton Road (nice houses but silly prices), is there many leafy areas in Bedford?

81k is a bit of a bargin though for around here, you'd be paying more than that in a shit hole area like Queens Park (QP Massif!!).

Around the Bromham Road area towards the station -Chaucer Road

When I say leafier I mean in comparison to the rest of Bedford. In one if the old Victorian family houses

Turns out my pictures are on my work computer but the agent shots will do. Its nothing amazing, but good value.

....kitchen isn't as small as the picture makes it look btw

And the outside (top floor flat on the right hand side)

Also included but not pictured are two storage rooms off the landing area, one of which will stay as storage, the other an office and photo studio area.

Away from OQ/Barnsfield College way then, it's a nice area although i didn't realise there were flats around there...

Yeah, the old college site has move away down towards the main Barnfield campus so less students around that area now.

A few streets away is all being redeveloped into really nice houses too, so hopefully a chance for the price of this to rise

edit - do you live in Bedford Dom?

Yeah, heard it was getting redeveloped around there which like you say should be push prices up a bit. But no, live in Wilstead just outside.

Mine in pretty much the same. Also sort the communal sky dish out and clean the windows.

Still need to get someone in to trim the brush though
