Are the bolts holding the subframe to the car supposed to be tight as fuck? I know they need to be secure being a safety thing, but i can't budge them a bit!

Get a big bar on them, the underside of the bolt is usually corroded hence the bolts are very tight.

Norcy91, they come out easy with an impactgun.

Yes, normally very tight. Make sure you have a good high quality undamaged bit and lots of leverage.

I don't have an air gun at home but i'll get a couple of decent tools off my brother in the morning and give it a crack then. I've only had a go at it with a torx bit on the end of a screwdriver nearly snapped the screwdriver trying to do it!

Aye, see if you can rig it up on a windy gun, T40 bit IIRC

Well i can't use a gun really because im doing to work at home, just getting the tools from his work. So a T40 bite, a rachet, and a whole lot of blood, sweat and tears

Just put a large 'cheater' bar on the ratchet, you'll be fine. I have varying sizes of scaffold pole for jobs like these...

I went to my local A1 Motocare store just to buy a torx that would fit. Seemed to fit when I got out of the shop. But when I really tried it, it didn't work. Tried hammering it, spraying it, freezing it, swearing at it and it just would not budge.

Don't need an impact gun, just get some additional leverage by extending the ratchet handle.
Breaker bar would be the better option as don't need the ratchet to start it.

Ah yes
And apologies. It is a T45 fitment. I'm a bit inebriated.

T40 would probably grip if the only moment you had was a screwdriver handle.
