they are shit slow btw i drove a mk5 golf with this engine floored in in first and genuinly thought i had selected 3rd gear instead.

Unfortunatley yess, Lyk mike said they are shit slow and the MPG is crap compared to the TDI's

Friend has the fabia sdi,
If you don't thrash it to try and make it move it easily hit's 50mpg. I wouldn't say that was bad mpg.

I had one for a year or so. Literally slower than a milkfloat.

Got 650 miles to a tank once though
