£1200 on a Corsa B 1.5d, then £1400 on a Fiesta Ghia 1.4 which dropped to £700 after a year, then MR2 1.8 was £1000 which dropped to £500, this year they want £600. I know a few people who pay stupid prices like £1800 on a 1.2 corsa and £4000 on a 1.6 golf!

I paid £880 for a 6month accelerator scheme on my 1.2 8V' but got £350 back when I did my pass plus; then got a year's NCB after 6 months and paid £880 for the following 12months; so total of £1410 for 18months which I thought was ok

I took out my insurance when I was on my provisional. £1,400 tpft on my 1.0 12v merit. Passed my test and range them up to swap it over and they want another £650 I nearly fainted when the woman told me. Paid it though as I couldn't wait to drive on my own

1700 hundred on a 1.4 sport.

My brother has just paid 3700 for his 1.4 sxi+ at 17 and that was on the basis that it was a 3 car multi policy with my mum and sister and that its kept 50% of the time at home and 50% on base of and that was to pay it upfront. He was going to go on his own as admiral wouldn't let him go on the multi car policy because of the car beingon base (then they changed their mind) and he was 4 mins from paying 4.5k upfront as well. More money than sense
