It's for my girlfriend for christmas, I want to get her a user friendly compact but wanted one that had a proper rechargable battery, rather then one that takes AA's.
Looking to spend £100-£150 (I'm not a cheap boyfriend this is just one of her presents )

I would personally recommend Nikon mate, they use proper batteries and they do at least one compact in that price range. I have the S210 which cost about £90 at the time (2 years ago) but they've released a new version now. Cracking camera it is for the price, and very small so can fit in your pocket, which is one of the reasons I bought it.

Okay thanks mate, I have been looking at them online, is quite a few compact models but they seem really decent so shall be getting one of them
Was looking at the Nikon S3000 which is £90, just trying to find battery information as none of them state really the spec of that.

HD video and optical zoom but still a compact. I'd recommend
