i am 21 and trying to get cheap insurance on an 03 plate astra gsi turbo. the best quote i have so far is £1200 with 2 years no claims, and with parents on policy. i was just wondering if anyone knew any other good people/websites that might be able to beat this?
any help appreciated.
cheers

Tried Admiral? They quoted me £1400 fully comp on a Cooper S (think they have similar insurance groups) at 20 with 2 years no claims. Not sure if you've got any mods or anything, but my quote was without.

Go onto that quote you got on the comparison site and theres a '10 month bonus accelerator' something or other, brought my quote on the Cooper S for just over £1500 to around £1300

If you go with admiral/bell etc make sure you pay it in one go, most of the time if you mention monthly the price goes crazy.
also search on comparison sites AND go direct.
sometimes direct is cheaper and sometimes comparison sites are cheaper, it all seems very random tbh.

Comparison sites are shit. i got cheapish quotes on my 182 with 1yncb and had been driving only a year.
i had to phone them before i was able to take out the policy and it ended up at more than triple because of my driving experience.
phone brentacre and tell them your cheapest quote.

That's not that bad considering your age tbh. My Clio costs me £700 and I'm 27 with 9yrs Ncb!

no point people advising at it changes from person to person. write a list and go through them , get your own price and insure it.

Deffo. My second year of insurance went from £1100 to around £1450 because i couldn't afford to pay it off at once.

What I do for my insurance is get an interest free credit card, pay the whole lot with that, then pay off the credit card within the interest free period
I'm currently paying around £900 for the astra, 19, 2 years NCB. Be 20 and 3 years NCB come renewal time, but I don't expect to see a drop in price

I'm paying £610 on my GSi with Adrian Flux
I'm 22 with 4 years protected NC
You just have to barter them down and tell them you've had cheaper quotes elsewhere, then 9/10 times they put you on hold for a minute and say "yea ok we can beat that by £10" - BOOM, you've knocked £100 off
