Interesting one.

In work we have a tracker system on the vans so we can pinpoint how close a certain engineer is to any given call out at any time. At the moment the tracker program is installed on a couple of systems in the office and if anyone else wants to know where someone is it's a case of pestering someone with it on their machine.

I've suggested we get a monitor coming off one of the machines with the program and stick it on the wall. Is this just a case of buying a tv and a cable and outputing from the machine to 2 monitors?

Yes, dual screens can get a bit annoying sometimes though, stuff opening up in wrong windows etc.

Would work but sticking a spare pc or something on a seperate monitor would be better.

This would be much better - you will have problems doing it off someone's PC. Especially if they can't see the screen from their seat. Popups going to the wrong screen, logging off, locking PC when leaving it, rebooting PC, etc.

Coincidentally I met with their HR a fortnight ago to get in partnership with them to offer their employees reduced rate childcare

Why not just use a completely separate box just that purpose? Much simpler.
