Anyone got any experience with changing these?
Is it easier to just get a brand new CV joint, as I read somewhere the reluctors are tack welded on?

do these all the time on hyundai's at work. we dont heat them, just clean up the surface with a little belt sander (watch you dont go to far though or the abs tone ring will be loose on the cv joint) just clean up the surface then use a small hammer and a punch and tap the new ring on.
pretty straight forward to do and will save you having to buy a new cv joint, if you do accidently sand too much off when your cleaning it then you can always tack a weld on it, learnt the hard way at work lol.
if you get stuck then just ask mate and il help with any questions if i can.
