4k for a decent CTR? Is this real or is this a John valuation?

Not my fault if you've paid over the odds for some crap car, doesn't mean it's worth anymore when you come to sell it.

I think 5k is a decent amount to pay.

I know, I was responding in general.
TBH, if you(not you as in you specifically) come on here asking what a car is worth, then complain when given a realistic figure, you clearly already had a figure you were thinking of and shouldn't have bothered asking anyway because you aren't wanting to know what it's really worth.

John, next time i go to buy a car you can come with me because clearly every car is shit and is worth half the price listed.

Who said that?
18 year old corsa's with rust that are posted on here are however normally worth half the listed price though yes.
I've also not said anything about what John's is worth either, not looked yet.

Well so far Cliosports are shit and slow, ctrs are crap. What petrol car do you like that has a n/a engine that isnt over priced and slow.

Clio sports are quick and I didn't like them, I'm sure I've had this conversation with you 10 times now, I don't like clio's, I would however probably buy one now if I hadn't had one, great value if you don't mind the build quality and high revving engine.
As for ctr's being crap, not sure where I've said that
Not sure what I like, don't spend my time looking into N/A petrol cars, would have to be something bigger than 2.0 though.

If anyone buys a Clio they need to spend 2k on refreshing every part on it if it has over 40k on the clock.

You got the good end of the deal when you swapped the Cupra for the Civic.
4k when you come to sell it will be a more realistic price to take but obv advertise it for a tad more. You could always try your luck at 5k,you never know.If theyr isnt many of them in your area etc and a potential buyer might not want to travel.

No, I clarified after that I wasn't referring to John, that was a general reply, to mainly the posts above but also just over the forum/life.

Ctrs have a more 'safer' feel when reving it high.
