Olive Oil
If this is for the car your thinking of using on track then dont do it.
100mm is FAR too low for anything expected to handle!
40mm or so would be best

Mine were 90mm, but lowered approx 70-75mm due to strippage and I had suspension travel.

TBH 100mm springs are ok on track, but if stripping car out i would only go 60 max, backend is to twitchy down that low with no weight on the rear

Mine was never twitchy in the dry only slightly in the wet but I used different rear springs for the wet.

Thank you. The rear will be so light that suspension travel will be minimal anyway.

sure they were 60mm?
How much weight is there actually in the rear of a corsa? Not much :S
Spare wheel and tools are quite heavy - maybe 25kg to 30kg
The trim doesnt add up to much when just the rear is tallied up. The seats from memory arent that heavey - just foam with a wire frame.
I think most of the weight to come out is from the front half of the car/cabin.
I guess what I'm faffing on about is... 'How much difference does stripping really make to the height'
And also... The height will depend greatly on the spring poundage.
I understand kgmm more these days so I'll use that.
Say you had 200kg at each corner of the rear
(To convert kg/mm to lbs/in, divide by .0179. To convert lbs/in to kg/mm, multiply by .0179)
200lb springs are 3.6kg/mm. So for the 200kg, they springs would compress 55mm (5.5cm)
For 300lb springs, 5.4kg/mm they would compress 37mm (3.7) for 200kg of weight.
for 175kg (No idea on realistic rear corner weights for a corsa but for example a 50kg saving at the rear alone)
200lb springs would drop 49mm (4.9cm)
300lb springs would drop 32mm (3.2cm)
So..... do you see what I'm saying. The spring rates are prob more of an issue than height.... unless the springs are progressive.

100% 60mm. the car did however weigh 781kg in that spec

so... you roughly had 150kg at the rear corners...
so using the quote that 100mm springs will be like 60mm springs due to the weight must mean a heavy bastard standard car to lower 40mm more on the same poundage springs
For example 200lb springs and roughly 150kg for your rear (one rear corner, so weight on that rear spring alone) would mean a drop at rest of 42mm. You'd need aprox 300kg at each corner to make that a valid statement . I dont think standard Corsas are that heaver, esp at the rear.

i never had it corner weighted adam, but there were indeed 60mm springs, of which the poundage i dont know, but they would have been soft beeing a road specced spring
same car, same shocks, 40mm raod spec koni supplied springs
same car, same tyre size, only diffrent beeing the springs
