Went over my iPhone data last month. They sent a text saying if i went over again they would cut my data speeds.
Data has been running epicly slow the past week or two and i've just remembered the text they sent. They must have cut my speeds! Arseholes!!
Looks like thats another £5 to my bill each month for a data bolt-on
This happened to anyone esle?

I regularly use around 1GB on my desire.
TBH 500mb is hardly unlimited.

I got the text saying the unlimited data promo had ended and if I went over my allocated amount (cant remember what it is) then they would text to alert me and rather than charge me, offer me to add the unlimited bundle

You shouldn't hate O2 for that, if it were Vodafone they would let you run over, then demand an extortionate fee for the extra data

Also why should he hate O2 for him not abiding to the contract?

Read the T&Cs, there will be a Fair Usage Policy attached and that will state how much data. The only network i know that offers true unlimited data is GiffGaff, but i can't see it staying with the number of people signing up.

More of the case of networks not wanting to cut into their profit a bit more and purchase more bandwidth (/upgrade the data side).
