Designed for wet snow

if you started spinning/skidding on the ice and then found a none icy patch on the road surely it would just rip them to pieces?

they aren't a joke, they are real.

obviously you don't put them on when theres only a little bit of ice on tarmac, they are for situations like i had when the snow is 6ins+ deep and your car is parked on a sloped driveway and the road isn't gritted.

They work brilliantly; Use them on the car when we're in ski resorts as they're easier to fit than chains - obviously won't last long on tarmac but on snow they're brilliant

That's an occasion to drive like a man, not to put snow socks on.

I have a set for the vectra and used them earlier on the year in the French alps and they are brilliant.

Really easy to put on and I used them on snow and ice and they worked rearly well. Certainly couldn't have got where I was going without them.

Yeah I have a set and they are unbelievable.

Driving through thick snow and on Ice the traction control light didnt come on once. I was able to drive normally and didnt feel it twitch once. Couldn't recommend them more highly !

One evening last week i didnt have them on and couldn't get grip and had a guy in a transit sitting on my arse. Stopped, chucked them on in about 2 minutes and caught up with the same bloke within another couple of minutes. He let me past and then followed me home. Asked me what they were as he was so impressed at the difference.

For the price they are, the ease of putting them on and the sheer grip they give, I really cannot fault them.

Not at all, can drive 30mph on just concrete for 50 miles iirc before they deteriorate. TUV approved too.

i tried that and it's cost me £230, so i think the snow socks are a cheaper and better option.

They are highly rated on the mx5 forums, They are not meant for constant use, just to get you out of situations where you become stuck and unable to get traction. Look very good though!
