Not so much driving a modified car, but I got tired of having a car that was designed with 17 year olds in mind, so at 21 I thought I should get a more suitable car. I perhaps jumped the gun a bit by buying a car with 5 doors but as it's only available in 5 doors it doesn't bother me. I'm pleased with that decision and I don't regret it at all. I do however wish I had my Fiesta as a 2nd car for track.

Although my Fiesta still looked quite respectable and not 'chavved' as some may call it.

Ideal and very cheap. In fact I might email him and ask him when he wants his grand.

Still not decided what to do, although there's a few things I need to do to the car before I'd sell it anyway so I'll do them and maybe sell it after Xmas, get the most I can for it.

Did it sell? Don't fancy Ebay on the phone. Also would agree now isn't the time to sell the Pug.

I constantly get digs from friends, that i drive a 'wee boys car'

But tbh i dont care, i put the time into building, and i have great fun driving it.

I'll buy something more mature when i am personally more mature.
Right now i'm living the dream and have no intentions of growing up tbfh.

Listing has ended it says, phase 1's are dirt cheap now which is attracting me to them even more.

Yes totally agree Danny.

I got to a point at 25 when I felt driving a stripped out Corsa felt a tad silly although I enjoyed it.

Sold it, bought a Mk3 Golf 8v GTi, very slow, but still had fun.
Sold that - bought the Mk4 Turbo GTi, love that, great all rounder.
Selling that and buying a new Mk6 GTi when the mk4 sells.

I suppose its growing up, but each to their own I guess, its personal preference.

Edit - having a no nonsense balls out track day still lurks within, however my prorities have changed a fair bit in the last few years, and need something to fit the bill without wasting money.
Having two cars etc is great, but I wont spend the finance on it now, as for me its a waste.

I got to that stage, remember thinking the same as you. Then one day someone parked a rover 25 into the back of my corsa.

Went for boring cheapo hyundai thing but i couldn't hack it so found the VX a nice upgrade from the corsa but similar in what i wanted from the car.

Has your 106 got loads of bits on it? you could get a lot more cash if you split it up. Can be a pain in the arse though.

Vectra went on the Buy It Now of 1150 I think.

Still cheap, reckons a grands worth of stereo, that's got to be 2/300 quid to move on so a potential £850 outlay for that car is a great buy for someone.

In fact I'm half thinking about phoning the guy just now

No point me stripping it, and I'm too lazy and dont have the space I'll get a good enough price to sell it as it is.

Ian, you can regulally pick phase 1's up for around that price
