As some of you may know some numpty wiped Vista off my VAIO and installed bloody XP for some unknown reason, so i am looking for a copy of windows 7 to download, as there are no drivers compatible with XP for my Laptop, also i have no Activation key for Windows 7
I tried this last night: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/7126-The-Official-Windows-7-Repository
Downloaded it, burnt the Iso to dvd then it wiped my partition, started installing got to 92% then informed me a file was missing and couldn't complete
All help appreciated

This.
I use "WAT Remover" to sort the small issue of activation out.

Yeah fair enough, works quite the same as the one i posted i think.
The one i posted simply removes the activation software in W7 (WAT - Windows Activation Technologies)...meaning that there is no need to activate.

Removing WAT doesn't work fully anymore, loader is the only way to get past all the genuine activation checks.

Just buy a copy you tight bastids.. What ever you used to avoid activation Microsoft will eventually release a patch and your copy will be de-activated and you'll be back to square one.

They can't really patch the loader, it emulates the SLIC tables in the BIOS, not much MS can do about that.
