I think USB dongles can work, but you'd be best getting: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/black-wireless-n-xbox-360-adapter-1/835365

Not sure to be honest. Never tried, I hear they work though. Have a look on Google: http://www.google.co.uk/#hl=en&safe=off&&sa=X&ei=W1kWTe7bM8i6hAeGzdW3Dg&ved=0CBUQvwUoAQ&q=Xbox+Live+using+USB+dongle&spell=1&fp=de610b7113b09eab

Don't think it will work with the netgear part.

"It is not possible to use generic USB wireless network adapters with the Xbox or Xbox 360 game console. The reason: generic Wi-Fi network adapters require the installation of device driver software that standard Xbox consoles cannot accommodate. Although it is physically possible to plug these adapters into the Xbox, they will not function properly without the accompanying drivers in place."

That Idea is out of the window then!

Think i'll nip and get one out of the shops, Be less hastle. I like how they expect you to buy all their products that cost a small fortune!

Yep! Pay for the connection gear, then pay for the connection. Bit sneaky really.

RJ45 is the only way if you want a constant connection, straight from router into xbox

But if you have a laptop there is a way you can its internet connection with the xbox over a wired network between the 2

I did the same with using a PC come to think of it. Hard wired the Xbox to the PC, and then ran a wireless connection from there to the modem/router.

Can you not just hardwire the 360 to your modem, that's what I did.

Fuck wireless it's too laggy anyway.

Sadily I also havn't got the option of running a cable to the x box as the router is downstairs and the xbox is upstairs.

Went into game and they wanted £60 for the adapter. Seen the copy's on ebay for £35. Don't know if they are any good though!

Shame, I just sold an official one for £20 on Christmas Eve.

If you want the cheaper option look for a 'wireless ethernet bridge'. Should be around £15-25 new for a cheap one and it'll do the same job. None on ebay at the moment I don't think, but a guy was selling them for £20.
