I received my new 50mm 1.8 today.
Of course I did what any other person would do. I tried to find some interesting looking subjects to play about with.

Okay, maybe interesting isn't the word, but i managed tp experiment with the dof.

easy to get low dof with macro shots, get some of a more distant subject

Thats just as easy. However I suppose the focusing becomes a little more tricky if doing it manually.

It does seem like i'm gonna have a bit of fun with this lens, although, the build quality is quite poor. It feels like it could break quite easily. My L series feels almost bomb proof compared to this.
