just brought a cheap corsa foe a run around and dont know what to do with the half a gsi i have...
my mate is selling is astra vxr engine with box, brakes, loom, shafts for quite cheap i know its a good engine and i can afford it and i really want a track corsa and i'm thinking engine + corsa = lots of money!!
i've seen the kadett in tv and thought thats got to be possible but is it really??

custom wiring loom, standalone management
custome mounts. if you got the skill take it on would be a weapon

Mount wise I think it is possible, people have put Z20LETs in Corsas. I think you would have to use an F28 gearbox to make life simple?
This is just what I've heard so wait for others as well.
Wiring would be a BITCH. CANBUS system, might has well get the whole loom (engine and interior, clock and radio the lot) unless you plan on running aftermarketing management!

a member from here will be helping me and between us it could happen and he said stand alone management too....
would be a right handful but engine cheap so couldnt moan really..

People say you can use x20xev throttle body on z20s so I'm guessing same goes to LEH, you'll need one because they run fly by wire

the z20leh will be ok, most of the rest is usless! unless really unless you want alot of work on your hands, you would need a loom and ecu from a astra gsi mk4 gsi, as its "half canbus" then two options bodge a accelator pedal in from a corsa c, or put a 2.0 ecotech tb on and use managment?

I was told I needed a pedal box?? If I do then can I use the astra tb and not a x20xe?

no point pissing around with pedal boxes
use the x20xev one simple
you cant use the xe/let conversion mount from a corsa as they foul on the cam cover.. how do i know this.?
i tried fitting one
you need to use a nova conversion mount and chop and weld it so it fits a corsa
the m32 gearbox is to big to use on a nova with out alot of cutting and welding
im not sure if its the same on a corsa
but a f28 with a decent LSD will do the trick
use the z20let loom as it isnt a canbus loom on the engine its the same as wiring up a xe/let loom just about also use the z20let ecu and run the z20let afm and just get the ecu remap'd
best place to look is on www.astraownersclub.com/vb as they have quite a few people that have converted to the LEH engine on there that know what they are talking about
