Is it possible to get a private reg put on retention when you have no MOT?

Has tax, MOT ran out November 2010

Thats what i thought was hoping someone might have a cunning solution.

Looking in to it I may just try and fix the MOT failures myself then get plate off and sell on.

Anyone know anything about mk6 transit vans?

I had someone come & inspect the car from the DVLA, was a pain in the arse but I got what I wanted
