Trying to cure my redtop idle problems, have already put a new icv and cts on, new hoses and new power cap.
This has helped but the revs still shoot up to 1500/2000 at times.
I can feel air coming from inlet manifold area at left hand side of engine (as u look at it) but not from the right side. The higher the revs the stronger the air pressure is, the lower the revs the less air pressure.
Is this normal or do u think the inlet manifold gasket has gone????
Or is there something else in that area that could be causing this??

You can feel an air leak coming from the inlet but you're actually considering your problem to be something else?
Always sort known problems before looking for new ones. I'd bet my right ball that a new inlet manifold gasket will sort it. And it's not a head off job by the way.

You've got an air leak. If it's coming around by the gasket then replace the gasket and it should cure it

Wasn't 100% sure it was an air leak which I did only discover tonight. Had replaced the usual suspects first as they appeared to be the frequent solutions.
Cheers for all your replies, will replace the gasket and cross fingers job done!

Might as well do the TB gasket while you've got the inlet off as well mate.
