Hello everyone, I saw a corsa 1.6 sport for sale on pistonheads, and the lad said that it has a gsi head on it, why and what gains would that achieve? just wondering thanks everyone.

I did this. Gasflowed, port and polished it whilst it was off. If you've got a inlet you'll notice the difference.

TBH you can do this stuff to an x16 head just as easy as putting a c16 head on

Slighty yes, Not worth changing a std head for a Standard GSi head though. XEL is still best.

but tbh with the little gains of changing heads, for all the hastle you may aswell just change all the inlet pipe from the TB for a more free flowing one and will probly see the same gains.

try getting an xel manifold though, i can think of one person to get them off lol.
c16xe head is nearly 2mm larger on the tracts, but i doubt very much you will notice a differance between a c and x16head on a stock engine

Not worth it unless your going to be spending big money on headwork and even then isnt really worth going all out just because its a c16.
