complete and utter rubbish using the example youve given, from a standing start cars will get to 60 quicker than they will from 60-mph, that makes no logical sense

for example 60-100mph

Koenigsegg CCR 1.4s
SSC Ultimate Aero TT 1.8s
Porsche 9FF GT9R 2.0s
Koenigsegg CCX 2.0s
TVR Cerbera Speed 12 2.2s
Koenigsegg CCXR Special Edition 2.2s
Tramontana R 2.4s
Porsche 9FF GT9 2.5s

which are all quicker than there 0-60 time

Most of those cars are rear wheel drive. They need to build up speed 1st before they can put the power down.

Not many of those cars will hit 60 in 1st gear, so changing takes time but I bet most of those cars will go 60 to 100 in 2nd gear and not have to change gear.

The down force will start coming into play so they'll be able to push harder and harder without breaking traction.

I'd say my Evo was fast 0-60 in less than 5 secs, top speed of 160+mph.

Having said that my old Lcr did over 155mph but the 0-60 was much slower.

It all depends on what cars you've owned to say if one was fast or not.

Jim I fucking love you. I've been using this quote For years and it's always gone straight over everyones heads. Didn't he always say a discovery was as quick as a Lamborghini in 5th?!

i know his punto from faster than an aston martin

Right thats it.

Ive officially decided that the test to determine if a car is "fast" or not is rolling 50mph start to 90mph wristwatch test

just not utter rubbish though is it jr............ come down to real world and compare some cars which are'nt silly special in terms of performance we are talking about impreza's and st's and evo's etc things normal people own.......

all of those vehicles have the power to overcome the laws of physics........ find me a stock off the shelf impreza that a normal guy can afford thats quicker from 60-100 than to 60 and ill agree with you...

i agree with you it can be done etc but fact is you have to keep introducing more power and aerodynamics etc with the more acceleration you try to achieve
