my mates just built a 1.7td, big straight through exhaust and theres no grumble at all, just the turbo whistle

My mate put a Isuzu 1.7 td lump in his corsa... that had a straight through side exit on it on it, gave it abit of grunt but wasn't stupidly loud, they ain't my cuppa tea but did look good with aload of black smoke out the side

decat + non resinated systems sound ok search on youtube for 1.9 polo with milltek exhaust on it sounds quite nice.

Not at all, when combined with a decent manifold, sport or decat and some good Air intake, its as beneficial as any car with breathing mods. Just because its not as loud doesn't make it a waste of time

Putting an exhaust ona diesel makes no difference powerwise what so ever? Only thing u can to is use a decat to help it spool up quicker

ive got a decat and stainless system on my disco 300tdi. smoke ahoy and turbo whistle.
not loud though as i have 2 boxes in it or id look like a right penis driving around.

i ve got a 2" turbo back custom system with just a backbox, it sound good and also has less turbo lag

My 1.7 isn't a turbo i thought it was. Will that make it sound nicer with one on?
