is there an easy way to format a 1tb hard drive to fat32?

FAT32 only works for up to 4GB.

You'll need to format it as NTFS.

No ntfs annoyingly doesn't work with ps3 .stupid as any rips are usually over 4gb so can't be put on fat drive

Theres a DOS utility you can download called format FAT32 that will allow you to format any size partition to FAT32. Google it

should work on any version. Give it a try. Are you using windows 7?

Now its showing on the PS3 is there any option anywhere to format via the PS3 just to make sure its in exactly the right format? Just a thought. I've not got much experience of the PS3
