Am I right in saying they're exactly the same? Pretty sure they is no difference between the exhausts...

Wrong, C16XE has a different flange to the X16XE.

Yep, they are different - one has a much longer downpipe, but I can't remember which.

However, if you're changing both the manifold/downpipe and cat for full aftermarket, then it'll fit fine - the centre section is in the same place on both.
