great write up there and its quite accurate for once.
i'm similar, i've loved them since seeing them as a kid and my dad nearly bought a G60 once.
When you read the development story you can see why VW aren't very fond of them, cost a fortune to develop, i think it was the designers who asked for the budget to be increased 3 times, then VW stopped it and said enoughs enough. Probably why some of it isn't built too well.
all handbuilt at the Karmann factory
great car, great history and it will become classic/rare etc

What do you mean for once? Do you want me to give Riggers bald head a slap?

nah, the US VR6 (SLC Corrado) is the 2.8 from the golf.
only europe got the 2.9 with larger throttle body and less restrictive manifold

Why are bmw e30's going up in price and these are still cheap? Are they really going to become classic? mmm

its because people can't afford or are scared of corrados reputation imo, they aren't very popular amoungst young drivers.
I guess E30's are more in demand atm, plus they are rwd
corrado should of been rwd imo, then it would of been a winner

Do they break a lot or something? Cost high to run?

I can't say no. as they do cost a far bit when something breaks. but its not like its always stuck at the side of the road. things wear out quickly and the parts are expensive.
