i rekon/hoping it was me being a lazy cunt when building the engine the second time and not cleaning the head or oil cooler. as i had a bearing fail on the crank which looking back i think may have caused all of this. ie iron fillings getting between the piston/bore and scoreing/polishing it.

just getting my old wossner block mesured atm to see if il need 87mm pistons or stick with 86.5's and im going as much as i can cleaning the head/lifters/oil cooler/turbo etc to try and get any remaining metal bits.

slow atm. over the past couple of month ive been and bought another complete engine/box loom for spares and im basically ditching everything on the engine in the corsa atm. as it still has metal debris in the oil. only thing thats left is the head so i assume its that but i thought fvckit and so im just in the process of building up another engine atm, just been refreshing it , new shells/rings etc ..really miss driving it properly so wanting it reliable for genral thrash at the weekend and the odd trackday, it will live again damb it!


i hadnt updated the thread as tbh its just the same shit different day
