lol! i can actually believe that! just make sure you give it a good checking over anyway! and in the boot pull the rear turret covers off and check under there as they rot at the top of the suspension strut in the boot.

ive had around 5 of these now and when situation allows il have another. fantastic cars, they may not have much in the way of refine, ent but they are such a rewarding drive.
ideally you want one in as standard condition as possible, and please keep the green side stripes on as they make the car.
heres a couple of mine

That moondust has been up for sale a hell of a lot the past few yrs!! I'd be wary of that one! It's always for sale in fact!

Very rare one you have there willow, moondust ones are rare but even rarer on the K plate!

I wudnt bother with buying a reshelled one, it will never be a Rst, it may have everything but it will never be one. I'd get a genuine one but that's just me! There was only 73 moondusts ever made and mine is supposed to be number 73 also so I was told!

I had one a few years ago, was a heap of shite, threw all sorts of money at it and it just never stoped breaking down.
It had random electrical problems where the whole thing would just die, leave it a few days and it would come back to life again.
Done the t3 conversion on it and it end up slower and driving shiter.
Got it pained, about a month after it the fuel cap started rusting again.
Brakes where shite.
Punted it to some gimp then bought a valver corsa the same night and never looked back.
I would never have another one unless it was a minter, but then you pay good money for one

not really, standard brakes are sufficient enough for a standard car.clearly when people start throwing on larger turbos etc then the standard brakes are going to be useless

I used to have a series 2 escort turbo. I absolutely loved it but sold it when i got my flat. Really wish i didnt. It was perfectly reliable too. Never cost me a penny apart from the shit load of Optimax it used to get through. Few pics in my garage if anyone is interested
