I want one of these - http://www.firebox.com/product/1109/Voodoo-Knife-Block?aff=1108 - and know a few on here have got them....
I assume the quality of the knives are so-so?
Are they decent quality generally? Don't want to waste £50 if all the paint flakes off in five minutes

My mate got a cheaper one, about half the price off eBay. Does its job, solid enough. I'm not sure on how good the knives themselves are but it doesn't look cheap and nasty.

I want one but think it will take up too much space when compared with my wooden one which is really compact, but the red one would go well with the rest of the stuff we have

Doesn't look the most compact no, but I've got the space. Red would go perfect in my kitchen.
Will see if I can find one cheaper and get it then.

Had mine since christmas, certainly does the job!  flash makes them look really dirty
